Position Overview:
We are currently recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join our managed print team, based at OES, St Asaph, North Wales. This is a full-time role, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Service Delivery:
- Work closely with our experienced Service Team to respond to client requests promptly and within set SLA response times
- Provide high-quality service levels to clients at all times
- Carry out repairs on reported devices, provide technical support, and perform regular scheduled maintenance calls
- Keep up to date with all manufacturer service bulletins
- Maintain responsibility for managing stock, including toner supplies and spare parts
- Cover the North West region, ensuring efficient and timely service delivery
Technical Expertise:
- Diagnose and solve technical issues with managed print devices, including mechanical and IT-related problems
- Stay informed on device models such as Konica Minolta, Lexmark, and Sharp, ensuring familiarity with a wide range of products
- Assist with complex installations and support IT issues related to print devices
Teamwork and Communication:
- Work effectively as part of a successful team, ensuring strong collaboration and information sharing
- Provide excellent customer communication, ensuring clients are kept informed throughout the service process
- Maintain a positive and enthusiastic approach, reflecting the core values of OES in all customer interactions
Operational Efficiency:
- Manage time effectively, balancing workload and priorities to ensure a fast-paced environment is maintained
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company standards and service level agreements
- Report any recurring issues or opportunities for service improvement to the Managed Print Services Manager
About you:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a field-based engineer in print/reprographics
- Familiarity with Konica Minolta, Lexmark, and Sharp devices preferred
- Strong mechanical and IT literacy skills
- Excellent customer communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and thrive in a dynamic environment
- Full, clean UK driving licence
